Help your community group reach new heights

A local club or organisation in [Limerick, Clare] has the opportunity to tackle one of the jobs they have putting off thanks to Blulift.  The specialist access equipment provider has teamed up with Spin Southwest FM to provide one voluntary group or club the use of their equipment for one week.   The prize is designed to help local organisations from sports clubs, Tidy Towns, public buildings committees or community groups to safely undertake jobs at height ranging from painting buildings,  hanging flags,  pruning trees, fixing roofs or tidying gutters, internal church repairs or event filming a major local event.

Speaking at the launch of the promotion John Cusack of Blulift outlined ‘the idea came about when we were contacted by a number of local organisations who use our equipment to maintain sports grounds from fixing floodlights to painting clubhouses.  We felt that many local organisations could address a lot of jobs that they have been putting off due to perceived cost or lack of knowledge of where to source specialist equipment to tackle these jobs safely. The range of applications is very broad so everyone from a group of local residents looking to tidy up their estate to a club looking to give the clubhouse a facelift can benefit from the prize’.  Currently Blulift is used to maintenance national heritage buildings, stadium repairs, buildings maintenance to specialist filming assignments.

The joint Blulift and Spin FM runs on the week beginning Monday 30th April and community groups and local club can enter by listening to Spin Talk each day.  Interested organisations submit the local project they feel would benefit the most by having the use of access equipment to work safely at height.  The winners can select from the Blulift range of UDrive, Trailerlift or Spiderlifts based on the height requirement and whether the job is indoors or outdoors.  The access equipment will be delivered to the winning organisation with full training provided.

Blulift are proud to support Cycle 4 Sick Children as their Charity Partner for 2012. In addition to supporting the work of the club Blulift is also a supporter of the Mini Munster Tour for Sophie Mulcahy.

About Cycle 4 Sick Children:

Founded by Liam & Stacey Mulcahy whose daughter suffers from a life threatening heart condition the club has offered hope for seriously ill children throughout Ireland. Cycle 4 Sick Children since setting up as a cycling club, has taken on a unique roll, not only are they encouraging people to join them cycling but also have a great cause while cycling. Every time they get on the bike Cycle 4 Sick Children team create awareness for children’s disability and serious illness in Ireland. They do this by educating the public and raising funds for children’s services in Limerick and Tipperary. They have also supported The Jack and Jill Foundation, Enable Ireland, and Crumlin Hospital. They have also highlighted the lack of services in Ireland for disabled and seriously ill children and advocating for more services. This Cycling Club is an outstanding sports club that has heart, sincerity, passion and love driving them forward to help improve the lives of disabled and sick children in Ireland. Cycle 4 Sick Children will continue the outstanding work in the service of disabled and sick children, the most vulnerable group needing help.

Our aim is to help to raise funds and promote awareness in helping kids with severe neuro disabilities, promote learning and education and improve children’s abilities and giving care to severely ill children while also helping parents of these children by providing nursing and respite care and also providing a home away from home environment near the hospital where all the family can stay as a unit.
